مقاييس اللغة - A Comprehensive Linguistic Dictionary
مقاييس اللغة is a comprehensive linguistic dictionary written by Ibn Faris, based on five great books: Book of Eye by Khalil bin Ahmed Faraaheedi, Weird to Talk by Abu Obeid Bin Qasim peace, Strangely Seeded by Abu Obeid Bin Qasim peace as well, Book of Logic by the son of skeet, and Population of Ibn Duraid. The dictionary is arranged alphabetically from A to Z and follows the method of Ibn Duraid, except for the principle of Altqalib, where Ibn Faris put forward the principle of assets in the language of its articles. The dictionary is divided into chapters that agree with the number of letters of the alphabet, and each chapter is named a book. For example, Book of Hamzah, then Book Alaba, then Book Alta, and so on. Ibn Faris divided his book into three doors based on the number of buildings, starting with the first multiplier bilateral door, then the triple door, and finally, what exceeded the trio of abstract. The dictionary is an excellent reference for linguists and scholars, and it follows a unique approach to arranging its materials.
